I have been painting with oils since the year 2000. Before that I worked with soft & crayon pastels, drawn to their ability to portray color, shadow, depth and brightness with intimacy and life. Oils captured me because of their richness and patience - they take longer to dry, allowing me to rethink & reshape my vision, even days later, something acrylics can't offer.

What speaks to me most is the permanence of oil painting. Oils endure. They will outlast us, carrying forth the spirit and emotion embedded in every brush stroke. As I often say: "By Art, By Immortality". 

Thru my work, I seal to create something timeless-to weave color, light and feeling into a form that stands beyond this moment, beyond this life.
