The ring he made me defies description. I told him I wanted the universe for a wedding ring. That's what he crafted me. It's an awesome piece of art. If you browse his gallery you'll see something that makes you contact him.
Just do it. The one that made me call him was a fly fisherman in base-relief on a gold ring. I was amazed that such a thing could be done.
Now, I'm amazed that what he created for me is even more stunning.

I ordered a custom mountain ring from Waylon for my wedding band and it looks amazing. His rings appear very large in the pictures but it is comfortable to wear. Highly recommend.

Exceptional work! I received a custom ring I got to design as a gift a year or so ago made by this jeweler and it was everything I wanted and oh so beautiful! The detail is incredible! The size was a little tight (since I think my fingers might have expanded) so recently I went to the gallery to get it stretched. The hospitality presented was such a lovely attribute and the gallery itself held a nice reflection of its owners finesse and creativity. My ring is absolutely amazing! I am so blessed to have found someone to create this for me! I wanted a ring that holds so much meaning to me and I cant even begin to express how amazing the design is that Waylon created! I took him a few simple ideas, random thoughts, and some diamonds and he transformed them into a one of a kind creation that no one else in this world will have! A creation that was something I never would have imagined, but so much more! The ring I received back is unique, less than modern, but more Victorian in design, and meaningful. Waylon Rhodes is by far the most talented jewelry artisan that I've ever worked with! He is a true professional, a compassionate businessman, and a brilliant sculptor.
I started conversations about my fiancés engagement ring with him, and sent him photographs of mountain ranges that my love and I have gone backpacking through. He proceeded to create sketches of these landscapes and incorporated every possible detail into the ring that I requested, including an elegant silhouette of little fly fisherman. The finished ring is more beautiful than I could even imagine, and I can hardly keep it hidden from my fiancé! Waylon allowed me to make payments on the ring as it was created and was always easy to reach and quick to respond when I contacted him. He sent me pictures throughout the design process, and made sure that the ring made it the whole way to my front door!
I will always be grateful for the great amount of love and passion that he put into this ring, and will cherish it, along with the love of my life, forever!

My fiancée and I contacted Waylon to create our wedding rings after we saw his beautiful creations on Pinterest. We used to live in Norway before moving to Australia, and we wanted our rings to be inspired by the Norwegian mountains and fjords. We contacted Waylon to see if he could create the rings we had in mind. He was very easy to communicate with and flexible with solutions that would work with our budget. We emailed Waylon photos for inspiration and ideas and he created several sketches for us. He is a fantastic artist to work with, has an amazing attention to details and make truly unique pieces. We love the results and are very proud to own two Waylon Rhoads rings. These rings will always remind us of a special time and place in our lives. We are very exited to show our rings to our friends and family at our wedding in October!
Besides the outstanding work he has done in creating our wedding rings, we think it was uplifting to meet such a warm and caring human being. If we only lived closer, we would have loved to meet him in person! 😊

I told Waylon what stone I wanted to have set in the ring and wanted a unique design. He was prompt and easy to communicate with. He had everything ready to go. A design sketch was drawn up right away- he took beautiful pictures of the ring every step of the way, cherishing the process of his craft. He got it done and polished by the deadline I needed and was so easy to work with. The finished result blew my mind and was more artistic than anything I could think up. I asked Waylon to design a customer piece symbolizing the Navy's submarine service. He had the wonderful idea of making it two tone (yellow and white gold 14 karat). , with the centerpiece being the Navy "dolphins," insignia , with two rubies for the dolphins eyes. I couldn't ask for better workmanship and design expertise to make it a superb piece.
