This Iolite ring was resurrected from my “Box of Good Intentions'“ in 2026 because it deserves a second chance at being worn by someone who loves it enough to wear it. It is a lightweight silver ring sprinkled with 18k gold and 22k gold dust that is then heated up to near melting temperature to bond the metals together. All of that work is done with a hand torch, so reaction time and experience play a huge role in determining whether the metals bond or whether they all melt and slump together in one big blob. I love the contrast the sulphur induces by turning the silver dark and making the gold pop!
